"Welcome to Yarlet School. We are looking forward to seeing you in class.

All the people at Yarlet are very kind, friendly and sporty. Mrs Broomhall collects the drinks and the biscuits. Then we go out to play. We have lots of different kinds of things to do.

We wear summer dresses and in the winter we wear a kilt and a blouse. The boys have to wear the same things all the time.

We have been on the beach and to an ice rink. On the beach we found dead crabs. On Fridays we go to chapel and we sing one song and at the end Mr Plant reads us a Bible story.

Andy teaches us tennis on Thursdays and it is very good. If you don't bring a tennis racquet in he will always have another one left for you.

We will look forward to seeing you soon." Katy, Year 2 (age 6)

"Hello, my name's India. Welcome to Yarlet School. The uniform we wear is a red jumper and a red and white dress and white socks. We wear a checked kilt and a white blouse and a red jumper. When you start, you will be sitting next to me, Katy and Minna. Something about Katy and Minna. Minna is funny, ridiculous, crazy and fun to play with. Katy is a quick writer, she is good at acting and she can make so many funny faces.

Something about Yarlet School is that there are lots of places to explore. It is so big you might get lost! We do fun things in class like making puppets, writing books and writing news about yourself. We do Christmas plays every year, we have outings, we have been to a Victorian School, to Southport and to an ice rink.

We are looking forward to seeing you." India , Year 2 (age 6)

img_3458_small_softedge"When you come into the class your name is on the desk written on cardboard. We do work in the morning. When you have finished your work you give it to the teacher, then the teacher will give you a star, two stars or a house point. Then the teacher will give you more work. After literacy you walk down to the playground and then you are allowed to play for 30 minutes. Then you walk back and do numeracy or maths. Then we have lunch and go back down to play for 20 minutes. We come back up and do science or history. Then if it is Tuesday or Friday we do swimming or on Wednesday and Thursday games. Then we go home or stay in after care. Hope to see you soon." Alexander, Year 2 (age 7)

"I like sports club because my friend Josh is there. And it is fun." Seb, Year 1 (age 5)
