Main School pupils were delighted to welcome Revd John Davis of St Mary’s, Stafford, to lead Yarlet’s Remembrance Service on Saturday 12th November.  Each year, the school is proud to support the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal and thanks must go to parents who generously supported our efforts to raise funds for the Appeal.

Pre-Prep Parent, Major Lucas, from the Army’s 22 Signal Regiment, kindly visited Pre-Prep to help pupils understand the significance of Remembrance Day and the sacrifices made by soldiers past and present.   Major Lucas brought along some of the army kit he takes with him overseas to show to the children.  They also had an opportunity to try on some of Major Lucas’s army clothes and saw some of the food a soldier would eat, as well as the bibbiwack a soldier would use as a shelter.
