Netball Matches v Abbotsholme Wed 11th January

The U13s played very well jumping for every ball and moving into space.  They were in charge of the game from the start and with great shooting from Beth and Kathy A.  It was no surprise that we sailed into the lead.

We kept up the pressure right to the end and with excellent defending from Kathy Johns and Dolores and superb passing from Maria, Emma and Kasey, we won convincingly 11-5.

The U12s were raring to go to prove just what they could do.  With a large squad of girls to choose from it was often difficult to remember who had been on and who should come off!

This was a closer match, although we had an excellent start with superb shooting from Emily and Hetta and excellent movement from Fionnuala and Kasey who had a tight rein on the ball.

We had a small lead throughout the match but as the last quarter began the opposition were rallying and starting to win more possession.  With great concentration from Lauren, Helena, Amelia and Olivia and determined defending from Libby and Dolores, we managed to retain our lead.    It was fun to see Loulou score her first goal for a Yarlet netball team.  Indigo, we wish you better luck for next time!

We all sighed a cry of relief when the final whistle was blown giving us a 5-3 win!
