 Yarlet pupils are celebrating after having helped to break the world record for the most people skipping simultaneously. 39 pupils from the Main School joined over 43,000 children from 414 schools across Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent and Lincolnshire in an attempt to skip for three minutes without stopping on 30th June 2009 and make it into the Guinness Book of Records. The event was organised by the School Sports Partnership as part of the National Sports Week and raised £10,000 for the Reynaud's and Scleroderma Association.
