11+ Bursaries – the R. S. Plant Awards

The Governors of Yarlet have decided to award two bursaries each year for children joining the School at age 11 who are able to show at interview a real aptitude and enthusiasm for independent education. Parents of children qualifying for the bursaries will benefit from advice as to senior independent schools which might suit their child at age 13.

Means testing will be used and the value of bursaries will be up to 50% of fees.

Sibling discounts will be available as for siblings of all children in the Yarlet Main School.

The bursaries will be known as R.S. Plant Awards. Richard Plant was Headmaster of Yarlet from 1989 until 2009.

Those eligible for awards in September 2010 will need to have been born between 1 September 1998 and 31 August 1999 in order to enter Year 7 ( age 11 ) at Yarlet. Applications may be made at any time from December 2009 and should be addressed to the Finance Manager, Yarlet School, Yarlet, nr Stafford ST18 9SU.
